This is what I ended up with after experimenting with different shapes and images on Photoshop for more than five hours.

I'm still in the process of trying to figure out the best process for adding images to shapes. I think this image is fine, but far from perfect.

I tried to align the two shapes in a way that displays the continuation of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The white text and images are designed to contrast with the dark blue background.
